Baby ‘O’ has gotten so big! It’s hard to believe this is the same little guy I photographed with his family here. He wasn’t in quite as good a mood - some teething, a little separation anxiety and a short nap made for a little bit of a challenge, but we captured some adorable moments!

Isn’t he sweet? He still smiles with his tongue out! I love it!

We kept trying to get a shot with his big bro but this is pretty much what we kept getting:

blog646

It’s all good, tho! We got plenty of adorableness!

And we can’t forget big brother, ‘J’, who had fun taking our picture!

Thank you, ‘E’, for sharing your boys with me yesterday!! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Erin: So cute! I was a bit worried that we didn't get any, but theses are great! Thanks

Ok, so maybe 6 weeker by now but still squishy and adorable! And in a much better mood! I had wanted some lifestyle/environmental shots and just had to go back for them (parents willing, of course, and they were!)

I wanted some shots of baby E in the nursery and the living room - with the yummy brown fringey throw, the gorgeous trunk they use for a coffee table, some shots of dad with baby and his beloved Taylor guitar (which he plays magnificently, by the way) and the special crocheted blanket by mom’s grandmother…

I did manage to get them all and I’m so excited to share a few!!

We tried to place baby ON the curve of the guitar while daddy played, but alas he was a little too big. And, well, he peed, so we decided it was endangering the guitar to try again! I love how this shot turned out!

blog645

And this is the beloved crocheted blanket done by baby E’s late great grandmother. I teared up when I heard the story about this blanket! ‘M’ once had a collection of beloved blankets made by her grandmother. They were destroyed by circumstances beyond her control and she was just devistated. She begged her grandmother to make her just one more so she would have something of hers to cherish forever. One day out of the blue, a package arrives at her work - from her grandmother. It still had her grandmother’s scent on it, which brought back so many wonderful memories. Upon her return home that very day, she found a message on her answering machine that her beloved grandmother has passed away. Yet, she managed to give her granddaughter the one thing she wanted the most - a hand made blanket to cherish forever.

I was so pleased to be able to incorporate this special blanket in this session! This is my favorite image from those series of shots…

Thank you, ‘B’ family, for allowing me to be a part of this special time in your lives! I hope you enjoy your 2nd sneak peek!

Melissa Barton: Thank you Robbie, we ADORE the pictures!!! You were great to work with and so patient and loving with our baby. I would recommend you to ANYONE having their baby's photos done, because you not only do fabulous work, but you are compassionate and sensitive with babies and know just how to comfort and coddle them in a session. Thanks for everything and I LOVE the afghan photo -- it made me cry!!!

Cheryl G.: WOW ROBBIE! What a photo!! I love these!!

This sweet little thing was only 5 days old but was over 9 lbs at birth! I can relate because both of my boys were a week late and over 9 lbs. I remember being in the hospital with my first born and nurses would stop in their tracks as they walked by my room and say WOW that is a BIG baby! Um yeah.

This little one was so precious and just slept the entire time! Mom and dad made sure their home was nice and HOT and baby had a full belly, which made photographing her a total dream! That and having the lovely and talented Sarah Mansur photographing with me helped a lot, too! Having two sets of hands made a huge difference!!

Here is your sneak peek, ‘B’ family! Little baby ‘T’ was so squishy and sweet - I just love the little rolls in the hammock shot!! Thank you for allowing us to photograph your beautiful family!

Lori Bray: They are perfect, beautiful!!!!!! Thank you for posting these!

Kristen: YOWZA!! That's a whole lot of yumminess; she's beautiful! Love them all!

We’ll likely have to have a part 2 to this session. This little guy was so sweet and cuddly - he wanted to be held the entire time and would wake up after getting him to sleep when he realized he wasn’t being held! I did get about 30 minutes of deep sleep with him, though! I was the one who woke him up, actually, when I plopped my vinyl beanbag onto the wood floor! I wasn’t prepared for the loud ‘SLAP’ it made! oops. :)

His parents were such troopers and though exhausted because of sleep deprivation, they put up with me all afternoon! Thank you guys so much for allowing me into your home to meet you and your sweetie! Here is your sneak peek…

Jan Vaughn: Oh My Gosh! I just don't know how much more beautiful one little girl can get. I love the pictures...everyone of them. Such great ideas too. Robbie does such a wonderful job. Love, Grandma

Jan Vaughn: P.S. The very first picture is so adorable. I love her little expression. Sooo sweet. From Grandma (again)

I just love how alert and expressive Miss ‘M’ was today! She is truly precious and I seriously could have held and talked to her all day! *sigh*… She finally went into a nice, deep sleep right at the end of our session! She fought it hard, too!

So, here is the sneak peek for you, ‘G’ family! Since the kiddos have no school tomorrow, I stayed up late to get this up. With that nasty storm coming I didn’t want to chance losing power and not being able to get this up for you! Enjoy - and more to come soon… It was truly a pleasure spending the afternoon with you, ‘S’, and of course baby ‘M’. She is a doll!

Ok, so here is part 2! Baby ‘A’ slept like an angel while we were miserably hot, but that’s how it goes during these newborn sessions! The hotter the better!

I love it when dads are involved in the sessions - some dads are in it just to make mom happy, but this dad was hands on! His music is very important to him so we incorporated this into the session. Here is one of the shots we did. I just love it!

And I just love this family shot - so sweet!

blog601

There are so many personal touches in their lovely home, too… love the quote on the wall above the crib! I had to tweak the watermark because it was so distracting. I hate that watermarking is necessary, but it’s needed so my images don’t end up on some disturbing site (seen it happen, sadly).

There are many more, of course, but that’s enough of a teaser for now!

I can’t thank you enough, ‘D’ family, for allowing me into your home to share these moments with you and sweet baby!

Chelsea Beck: Gorgeous! LOVE the wide crib shot!

This sweet peanut was the most content little thing ever! We split this session in to two parts because of a doctor’s appt, so this is a sneak peek for part 1. I truly could have held this sweet baby all day long and had so much fun photographing her! And I adore this family - I am so glad you guys chose me to be your photographer!
