I fell in love with this family the moment I arrived… Dad was working in the garage and I could just tell he was a man with a mission! The fragrant cedar siding, the carefully planned landscaping, and the sound of power tools made me realize this man was creating something special. He showed me his amazing handiwork off the back of the house yet still a work in progress - the addition that will add more living space for the family. But the real masterpiece was the hand made indoor-outdoor fireplace with hand chipped hand laid stones. Wow! You could see all these kinds of personal touches throughout their lovely home!
Then Mom greeted me with such warmth and joy - I just knew this session was going to be something special! Although she wanted me to focus primarily on baby ‘S’, I was going to be photographing the entire family as well, so I was very excited!
Baby ‘S’ never had newborn pictures. She was born 7 weeks early because it became evident that mom and baby were both very much in danger. Mom and baby came though just fine, but boy did they give everyone a nice scare. Baby ‘S’ had a rough start, but now at 4 months old, she is just as happy, healthy and chubby as any 4 month old could be! Mom was now ready to have ‘S’ make her modeling debut! Here is a little sneak peek!

And mom wasn’t really wanting to be in these pictures, but I insisted on a few. Look how gorgeous she is!!

And I LOVE how you can just see baby’s nose and eyes peeking above her little hands in this shot. I have some similar shots with her full face showing, but I have to save some for the family’s gallery you know! So here’s a teaser…

Then there was little ‘D’. 19 months old and full of spunk! And as a typical toddler, he was not really wanting his picture taken. So, we just let him play and he loved every minute of it! He didn’t even mind my camera then!

This gorgeous little lady was so fun! Not a little girl, not quite a teenager… ‘E’ was a big help to me and was kind enough to show me her room and let me take some shots of her there. Here is one of my favorites…

And who could resist dad with his little girl? I love this shot of him and ‘E’.

I have so many lovely shots it was so hard to choose which ones to feature here! I have tons more - I might just have to share more in another post! In the meantime, Sweet ‘K family, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! Thank you for opening up your lovely home to me and allowing me to photograph your amazing family!
Jan Vaughn: Oh My Gosh! I just don't know how much more beautiful one little girl can get. I love the pictures...everyone of them. Such great ideas too. Robbie does such a wonderful job. Love, Grandma
Jan Vaughn: P.S. The very first picture is so adorable. I love her little expression. Sooo sweet. From Grandma (again)
