May 4, 2013Little G, I was told, kept calling this his ‘Happy Day’ and it was definitely that! He had an amazing safari themed party complete with REAL jungle animals (and creepy critters)! December 10, 2012I really can’t believe this crazy weather! It was almost 80 degrees on this beautiful fall day. I always love photographing this precious family and was so glad the weather and sunshine cooperated!
They wanted family images and a few of their youngest at ‘three years old’. I’ve been photographing her since before she was born (literally) so it’s just so hard to believe how big she is! And wow, have her big brothers grown up, too!
Thank you guys so much for allowing me to be your photographer! I hope you enjoy these so far…

Melissa Pfannenstiel ~ Kansas City Newborn Photographer ~: So lovely!
Like my new look? I’m SO in love with it! I just felt like my old colors, red and black, were outdated and a little too masculine. I didn’t want it all completely girly and stuff, but I AM a girl and with a name like Robbie, people can assume…
I also wanted something cleaner. I’m still working on things, but it’s coming along, slowly! It’s put me behind some on blogging, but I’ll catch up soon! And in the meantime, I thought I’d share a few of my youngest.
I am now officially a Nikon shooter! It was a hard decision, but it just seems to suit my shooting style better for various reasons. Anyway, I took the camera out with my youngest to get some practice in with the new camera. The resulting images I just fell in love with, saggy diaper and all! He LOVES to play in the dirt so I really enjoyed documenting that.
This is what being a photographer is all about. I need to do this WAY more often – life goes by too fast!
I am also playing with film looks. I LOVE film – love love love – but I’m too much of an instant gratification person to switch over to film (for now anyway). So, I am trying to achieve the look with processing. These were not processed in Photoshop, but in Lightroom only. I’d LOVE to hear your thoughts!

And some film b/w of the resulting bath that was needed after playing in the dirt!

Lisa Adams: What a doll! Boys and dirt go hand-in-hand! Hope you enjoy your Nikon!!
Haley: How fun! I love that you caught these everyday moments and make them into gorgeous pictures!
Erin Jacobs: What a fun shoot for an adorable little boy!
Christie: He is ADORABLE!! Love that you captured these in-the-moment shots, treasures for sure!
Heather Puett: So adorable. Love kids and dirt.
Sarah Duckworth: Oh - is he ever cute, and this is such a great reminder to grab the camera for the everyday moments!
Lina: I love to see your images, true inspiration.. Love your work.

Siblings {Tulsa Children’s photographer}
November 1, 2011I always love it when these two come in for a session. We usually shoot on location but decided to do some studio shots this time. Baby ‘G’ wasn’t too thrilled about having to pose with his sister, either, but I did get a composite of the two together! Yeah, I got tricks up my sleeve!
And I know this is a large share – and I had to make myself stop adding more to the post. Sorry, ‘L’, but it will be hard to choose!

Here is the sibling shot! There is one more but I have to save some for the gallery!

This was so cute – he wanted to clean everything! It kept him happy so why not?

Gotta Love Being 2! {Tulsa Children’s Photographer}
August 30, 2011Little ‘A’ is a young lady now! I’ve been photographing her since she was a newborn! She has changed so much since her one year session, Mom wanted to get a few updated shots. We did a mini session, which can be a challenge at that age, but she was great! A little sass but a whole lot of fun, too!
Speaking of sass, I seriously can’t look at this without laughing out loud. She was not difficult during her session at all, but she just HAD to sneak in a little sass in there! Too funny!

Here are a few more….

Her outfit is so cute too...love the pink with her blond hair. Seriously perfect!!

Sisters! {Tulsa Baby Photographer}
July 16, 2011I have a new studio space and wanted to test some things out, so ‘A’ was kind enough to bring back baby ‘N’ for a few more shots. We also got some of her big sister, who just turned 2, in on a few as well! ‘B’ loves Princess and the Frog so her mom had an exact replica made of the gown! So gorgeous! She wasn’t too thrilled to be in it, though – she kept saying ‘OUT’ and pulling at the bodice. I did managed to get a few shots of her in it, though!
Here are a few of baby ‘N’…

And Miss ‘B’, or Miss Thang, as her mommy called her!

And although we were going for softer, more romantic setups, Miss ‘B’ was enchanted with the white Cyclorama wall. She thought it was her stage! So funny! So, I got a few with a white, high key setup for a completely different look.

Thank you, ‘A’, for coming out!! Hope you enjoy these so far!
